I thought I heard briefly that Lauren Hill died in a plane crash last year (2007). Is that true?

Had a bit of a look on the Google machine but didn't find anything , so I am uming I am wrong. Who might I be thinking of? I know it's not Buddy Holley or Richie Valentine, because that was the year before last.
