I am making a tied lap quilt with fleece material, do not know how to cut and tie the corners, can you help?

lThese lap quilts or blanket are very popular to take to ball games, you put two layers together, cut to desired size, then you cut strips of fabric all around the blanket, then tie them off, but I have'nt figured out how to cut and tie the corners. Has anyone done one?
