What are your thoughts on the world ending on 2012??

all of a sudden, it seems that all of my friends are talking about how the world will end in less than four years: in 2012. i havent heard anything about this until a week or so ago. but i guess, its in the bible or something and that the Aztec calender mysteriously stops at 2012. what are your thoughts and opinions on the subject?
