To all Botanists/ people who know about plants:?

I always wanted to know: When you see any kind of tree/plant, you notice the random contortion of its branches and the overall shape of its trunk, with that said, a seed is supposed to have all the genetic information about the tree/plant that will grow from it. Likewise, in our DNA, we contain the codes of how overall (disregarding nurture for a sec) we will look like and become. Now my question is: is the way a tree/plant looks like (with its specific placement of leaves, branches, etc all written in the Chromosomes in the seed it once emerged from?
