Where does a family go for help in Columbus, OH?

My husband was laid off from his job 3 wks ago. We have tried tirelessly to find work....nothing!! Our rent came due and because his prior employer did not withhold any earnings we had 2 days pay due......cant pay the rent with that! But had to use it to search for work. To say the least we have NO income, and no gas to search for work. NO bus lines near, and even if there were we have NO money for the fare. We applied for a PRC grant....for rent, we were denied because we have no income. We have NOTHING of value to sell, except our car, but need that incase we do find work. My husband desperately wants to get his CDL to get us back on track, but we cant afford the $110 for that either. I am a full time student and we have 4 kids. Up until now we also helped a grandmother raise her granddaughter that she was given custody and cannot raise alone. We are no longer in a position to help her as we did either. We are falling apart, we dont know really where to go for help. Any suggestions?
