Can "going abroad" be predicted by Indian astrology?

During the ancient times, there were none of the political geographic boundaries we now know of. So can Indian astrology really predict chances of "going abroad"? Or do they merely indicate moving away from place of birth to another place which may even be within the same country? I am just curious about this.
