Alright. So i like this guy...but theres a problem?

I am a freshman in highschool and hes a junior. in high school i guess thats a big deal? HE texts me from the minute i wake up to the minute i go to sleep. I got my friend to say to him "it would be really cool if u went to the junior prom with jess" he said that hes busy and doesnt dance. HE also said that i am too young for him when we were talking about ...i am not looking for that at all. but if he says i am too young for that, that means i am too young for him. i really like this kid. What do i do. please help me
